The AFSC is a membership organisation for all flutists from beginning students to professionals. It is a resource center that provides education and performance opportunities for flutists of all levels, plus it serves as a support network with publicity for concerts and events, referrals for teachers, promotion of special classes and general information. 
Includes web pages for the Arctic Wind Flute Choir, with whom we performed in a joint concert in June 2009.

The Austin Flute Club (USA)
This not-for-profit organisation was formed over 14 years ago because there was a need for educational opportunities, the presentation of excellent visiting flautists, and the performance of members. Their members are people of all ages and professions, including students, teachers, professionals and amateurs.

Ballyclare Victoria Flute Band (Northern Ireland)
One of the finest flute bands, based in Ballyclare near Newtonabbey. Website includes a short history, honours, news, events diary and also a photo gallery.

Formed in 1876, Ballygowan has maintaned a tradition of successes to the present day.  The band play a vast range of music which includes traditional marches to selections from musicals.  Interestingly, the band has also made various radio broadcasts and television appearances.

British Flute Society (UK)
The aims of the BFS ...to advance the education of the public in the Art and Science of Music and in particular the Art and Science of Flute playing in all its aspects...

ClydeValley.net (Scotland)
"The cultural home page for the Clyde Valley", promoting arts, culture and crafts by listing the music, visual art, craft and dance events and the people, musicians, artists, dancers, craftsmen and craftswomen - individuals or groups, professional or amateur - living or working in our local area who contribute to its richness and diversity.

Eva is from The Netherlands and specialises in manufacturing flutes, especially the lower instruments. The range from the Altoflute to the Contrabass flute is made in her own workshop. She has patented the Kingma System ®, a revolutionary system which gives the flautist many more possibilities and is available on all her instruments. Eva Kingma has built all of our 'big flutes'.

Falls House Press (USA)
A flute music publishing company dedicated to the discovery and reproduction not only of flute music that is out-of-print, but to publishing new, top-quality repertoire as well. Since the early nineties, they have been preserving the past for the future.

Flutes & Co. (UK)
Started in 1994 as a flute band with 6 young players, the group now boasts almost 30 members between the ages of 11 and 60. As a charitable organisation, the ensemble play at numerous events around Cumbria and North Lancashire.

The Flutewise Trust (UK)
Aimed at anyone and everyone who plays or is interested in the flute. They inspire, involve and motivate all members to become better, more informed and happier flute players.

Hamilton Flute Band (Northern Ireland)
Established in the Waterside area of Londonderry in 1856, Hamilton is one of the top flute bands in Northern Ireland. The Band has established a name for itself through Marching, Concerts, Competitions and Ensembles in Ireland as a whole, the UK, and also in Europe.

Mostlywind (Scotland)
Loads of pages all about the Flute, Flute Players, Flute Makers, Flute Music, Advice, Music Theory and some Fun Stuff. This site is not commercial (and is Scottish in birthright!). Also contains many other good Gaelic and Scottish music links.

Nashua Flute Choir (USA)
Founded in 1984, the NFC is a voluntary, non-profit organisation dedicated to the cultural and musical enrichment of Nashua and its surrounding communities. Its sixteen members come from many career backgrounds and locations, fostering their love of music through The Nashua Flute Choir, led in this pursuit by professional flautist and conductor, Dr. Eileen Yarrison.

North Of Ireland Bands Association (Northern Ireland)
The premier organisation for bands throughout the North of Ireland with more than eighty bands currently in membership. The Association, which is non-political and non-sectarian, provides a service to Flute, Brass, Military (Concert) and Accordion Bands within the one organisation. The North of Ireland Bands Association organises the Championship of Ireland Band's Contest (including the Championship of the World for Flute Bands) and supports leagues which organise regular contests for different types of bands as well as solo, quartet and small ensemble competitions.

Oklahoma Flute Society (USA)
Created to benefit anyone who loves the flute, and offers learning and performance opportunities for students, teachers, and professional players. The Society sponsors festivals, scholarships, concerts, masterclasses, competitions, and new music commissions.

Poyntzpass Silver Band (Northern Ireland)
A Community Band which fully involves itself in the activities of it's local community and endeavours to support all community events when invited to do so.

The group meets regularly in Preston, playing a full range of flutes right down to Contralto and Contrabass.  They also run flute afternoons in the local area throughout the area.

Raleigh Area Flute Association (USA)
Promotes flute playing in the Raleigh area, promotes the enjoyment and appreciation of the flute, assists members in achieving musical excellence and provides scholarships for worthy musicians.

More commonly known as SAFBA and whose main activity is organising two contests per year - the Scottish Championship and the Annual Spring Contests.

Scottish Arts Council (Scotland)
The lead body for the funding, development and advocacy of the arts in Scotland.
