Who we are

We are an enthusiastic group of around 30 amateur flautists and percussionists from the Carluke community and all over Lanarkshire in Scotland. We get together to make and perform music.

The personnel range from children as young as 11 to adults in their 60’s and come from all walks of life.

To gain the most orchestral sound possible we play a range of different flutes. From a piccolo to a contrabass - 3 octaves below.

We play a wide variety of music including classical overtures, easy listening, TV/Film themes and military marches, performing at many events across the country ranging from the Edinburgh Festival to "Music on the Lawn" at Stanmore House School as well as national contests. Our very own Annual Concert in April is one of the most successful music events in Lanarkshire - attracting as many as 500 people.
